Smoke & Mirrors - Topshop AW11 Make up

Image taken from from Topshop.com
I was browsing Topshop online yesterday when I saw the new AW11 - 'Smoke & Mirrors' Make up collection which is inspired by the high glamour of the early 70's.
Eeeek I am SO excited for Autumn Winter, they are my Favouite months by far!
I went straight into my local Topshop with the intention to get 'Pillow Talk' which is a lovley baby pink lipstick and 'Prim & Proper' which is a dusty pink nail varnish. Unfortunately they didnt have any of the nail varnishes in yet however I tested out most of the other products in the collection.

Lipsticks - 'Pillow talk' - a lovely sheer baby pink however I was really unsure how this would go with my olive skintone so I decided to get 'Rumour has it' Which is a beautiful Dusty Rose colour.

Bronzer - 'Burning Embers' - I think I might have to revist Topshop tomorrow to get this, the blush is a gorgeous apricot color and the terracotta bronzer is quite nice too! I just wish there was more of the blush on there!!

Glow - 'Polished' - Now this was the least of my favourites when I looked online however as soon as I swatched this colour I wanted it straight away! It is a lovley pearly, kind of rosey gold colour. I seriously recommend to go and swatch this colour in real life as the pics don't do it justice. It is quite a small pot for £9 however I am so in love with this colour I know I will repurchase!!!

Eye Pallette in 'Secret Liaisons' - This again had such good colours, I swatched all the colours, the only reason I wouldnt get this is I know I wouldnt wear the darker colours.

Overall I am really impressed with Topshops 'Smoke & Mirrors' collection, I absolutely Love the packaging and the colors are so pretty, well pigmented and good quality. I definately want to get 'Prim & Proper' Nailvarnish and maybe the Bronzer duo aswell.

Has anyone else checked this out yet?

VO5 Miracle Concentrate

It has been soooo hot in the UK today - 29 degrees!!! Strangely it's also been raining on and off all day making beautiful rainbows :)

I bought the VO5 miracle concentrate about 2 weeks ago and have used it every day since.
I've only used up the tiniest amount even though I use half a pippette worth of product every day!!!
I absolutely love this product, it feels amazing after blow drying, keeps my hair silky throughout the day and I feel it is a great cheaper alternative to Morrocan oil.
Don't get me wrong, Morrocan oil will probably always be my favourite, however the VO5 is so much cheaper at only £5. I also sometimes find that Morrocan oil can feel a bit thick on my hair.

I couldn't recommend this product enough. Of course everyones hair is different so I can't speak for every hair type however it works wonders on my dry, heat-damaged hair! I also have noticed a reduction in blowdrying time!

I bought my VO5 Miracle Concentrate at boots :)

Mac Please Me

Mac Please Me - £13.50

This is only my second ever Mac lipstick, It's a lot lighter than I thought however I'm happy that I bought it and I love the colour!
It's so funny every time I seem to buy something from MAC, I'm served by someone called Sophie (which is also my name!!) ...obv a sign I need to buy more ;)

I wore this lipstick with winged black eyeliner for a daytime look but for a night out I would wear with a smoky eye and highlighted cheeks.
I love the scent of MAC Lipsticks and the formula is so creamy and hydrating.
To apply I used my bodyshop lipscuff, then the Bodyshop Lip butter and then Please Me.

P.s I've had play around with my blog to try and improve it - let me know what you think!

Ring Finger Polish

17 gold Nailvarnish, OPI Mrs O'Learys BBQ, Orley Rage, Topshop Pool Party.

Love this trend at the moment, however I find it hard to find colours that go well.
Next week im going to try Rimmel Beige Babe (colour in my 'reading glasses' post) and Orley Rage.
I was a bit sceptical about buying Orley 'Rage' as its such a tiny bottle for £5 however I absolutely Love this colour and definately will repurchase when I run out!
(p.s sorry about the messy nails - I had just painted them!!)

Organix Hair Range

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Products
Organix Moroccan argan oil products
Organix Coconut Milk Serum
Hi guys,
You all know that I'm constantly on the search for natural products that deliver...
Ive been using the Organix range for a while now and so thought i'd do a review.
My mum originally introduced me to the range, she bought me the Coconut Milk serum for christmas :)
I love that Organix products contain no sodium laureth sulfate!
Sodium laureth sulfate is a cheap chemical product companies use that can irritate your skin and damage your hair.
I love these products, I use the Morrocan oil Shampoo along with the Brazillian keratin therapy conditioner together and my hair feels amazing, i've heard some reviews stating that initially their hair feels quite dry as it is stripped of the chemical/product build up however I didn't experience this.

I would definately recommend these products, I know i'd much rather put natural ingredients in my hair than risk chemicals damaging my hair!!!

(you can purchase Organix products from Boots)
